Carlsbad California For A Fun Family Getaway

In the northern regions of San Diego County in Southern California is a lovely little seaside village called Carlsbad. It is a great place for a short break for the family.

If you children are still preteen or younger, stands out as the great attraction of Legoland. Although primary colors emblazoned everywhere, has to take this as one of the nicest parks for parents to their children. Short lines and a relaxed atmosphere, beautiful landscaping, a healthy café,and the fact that you are able to make the most of it in one day, it's best aspects.

Then there is the beach. Carlsbad State Beach is away from Carlsbad Blvd., Just a short stroll from the village center. There's plenty of sand to the beach can enjoy too. A boardwalk lines the back of the beach for sunset walks. Just take the Tamarack Ave. Exit from the I-5 and go west for about a mile.

A little further south is South Carlsbad State Beach. There is aCamping strain at the top of the cliff overlooking the ocean with stairs down to the beach. For more information on the beaches, call 800-444-7275.

If you are in Carlsbad in the spring, the bulb should not be missed. From March until mid-May you can walk through the 50 hectares of colorful carpeted areas, or even a guided tour. The fields are located at 5704 Paseo de Norte. Call 706-431-0352.

Not far from Legolandand the flower fields is at the Museum of Making Music 5790 Armada Drive. Stroll through the rooms presents a musical history shows, and enjoy musical samples with push button activation (the kids love this). Find out more about musical styles and vintage instruments.

At the end of the exhibition is a room full of instruments you can play (even with headphones on). There is an age limit, however, the youngest children are not in this room are not allowed. Maybe Mom and Dad cango away! Call 760-438-5996.

It is a fabulous restaurant at the end of the road at 5801 Armada Drive, known as Karl Strauss Brewery Restaurant. It has good food and a nice terrace for outdoor dining with views.

Carlsbad Village is the section of a tree-lined town atmosphere. You will find antique shops, specialty shops and restaurants along State Street near Grand Ave. and Carlsbad Village Drive.

Carlsbad is about 35 miles north of theSan Diego. Take the Carlsbad Village Ave. left and to the west. For Legoland, the flower fields and the Museum of Making Music, exit at Palomar Avenue Road.

If you prefer to get there the fun, relaxing and scenic ways to take the train! The Coaster runs from Oceanside to the north to San Diego in the south and has a station at 2775 State Street. There are 24 hours of free parking if you stay in Carlsbad and want a day trip by train to San Diego or to one of theResorts in between. Call 800-COASTER.

So, between relaxing at the beach, strolling and restaurants downtown, flower saw the musical history, or play at Legoland, you probably need more than one days in Carlsbad!
