Tsunami 2004, 5 years later, I feel the need again to supporting and helping families.

28 / 12 / 2004 - Tsunami in Phuket - Thailand Two days after the Tsunami I left Belgium. Helping families in need was our goal. We arrived in Phuket with 44 coffins and 500 kg of embalming products and welding material. We stayed 8 days helping families to find and repatriate there beloved one. It is only after my return that I realized all the horror I had lived. Emotionally it had become impossible to me to keep on helping other families. Today, 5 years later, I feel the need to go back to supporting and helping families. I will always keep the memory of everything I went through in Phuket after the Tsunami. However, I now remember how grateful the families I helped were. In the meantime I made the mourning of my suffering too and I feel the strength, the need and the motivation to help families again.
