Phuket Thailand has many attractions one can discover either on day trips or more. The beaches are by far the biggest attraction to Phuket because it has many beaches for one to explore. You can busy yourself to keep the whole year with the many attractions in Phuket other than just the beaches however.
Day trips can be a lot of fun. I had a long tail boat and rented to the many different islands, which are about thirty minute boat rides away from the manyseveral piers on the island. It is not difficult, a long tail boat as many of the beaches, they have placed themselves just off the coast. A day trip is very inexpensive and you will remember a time when life was simple and straightforward.
Rubber tree plantations are located on the island and observe abundant and learn how locals make latex from rubber trees is educational and interesting. This ancient tradition can be seen in the night where the Thais are working it cool, night orthey work as secondary or night job to supplement their income.
Among a sea going canoe out of the eastern part of Phuket's quiet water to explore the cave can be a fun way to get a bit more sunshine and a good workout. There are many small islands, coves and caves, to a canoe from Phuket's east coast and explore water is calm and turquoise.
The island offers many shows also like monkey shows and snake shows. Many bus tours will take you to the caves in Phang NGNBay and James Bond to visit Iceland. Another famous day trip is a boat ride from Phi Phi Iceland for the day. I find this boat ride rather boring, but I travel often so now I'm partially done.
If you enjoy Thai-boxing, there are several places you can go and watch Thai boxing and training and with young people. I personally just enjoy a fight now and again. The action is real, not staged and the hype is almost as good as wrestling on TV. There is Thai boxing in almostevery small town in Phuket.
For those who enjoy the nightlife in Phuket is no better than those found in Patong Beach. The town has many discos and night life like nowhere else in the world. Patong is voted the number one nightlife spot my several men's magazines. Making the many beer bars and night clubs can be fun to discover, is a relaxed and laid back attitude you would expect to find on the islands of the Andaman Sea.
If you find you want to move away fromthe average tourist venues can, Phuket Town offers some interesting shows and live entertainment. It even has some great festivals like vegetarian festival and Chinese New Year's.
I have now lived on the island for several years and grow up to call Phuket Home. The island is more than just a great tourist destination, it's a great place to live.
