Japanese cuisine is getting more and more popular, among Thais and foreign tourists. They also have variety and style. The Japanese food is normally well decorated, and served in style or in buffet selections. Some also choose Japanese cuisine for a healthy diet. When mentioning Japanese food, fish seems to dominate the dishes while people usually think of raw fish like sashimi or sushi. They can be served individually or one can share a buffet. Football Tournament at BIS Int School Phuket

We turn now to our Young Reporter Student Intern about an international football tournament at British International School Phuket for children from many schools. Lets join her now. Hurrah! Sawadee Ka, Today Im here at British International School, at a football tournament for about 700 students from international schools in Asia. This was the 7th annual football tournament, held on 14-15 November at British International School or BIS. On the final day, we first saw a good goal scored by BIS girls under 13 year olds, here in blue shirts, against Tanglin Trust School from Singapore in green shirts. The girls played exciting football. BIS eventually won the game 2-0, to gain 3rd place in their category. I talked to some of the BIS girls afterwards: (Josie, 12, .. Alex, 13 .. Dina, 12) Then we watched Saint Stephens Khao Yai in Thailand here in yellow, against International School of Kuala Lumpur or ISKL in blue. This was a tougher game as they were older, under 13 years old, and one of them got injured. ISKL scored great goals, winning 5-0 in the final of their category. After winning, they made an arch for the players and rolled over in celebration. I asked them about this game celebration and what else they did during their visit: (Meagan, 12, Saskia, 13, .Samantha, 12 ) Then we saw Tanglin from Singapore in red, losing to Harrow School from Bangkok in white, who scored the only winning goal. Wong: Today's top story... four years have passed since the Boxing Day Tsunami in the Indian Ocean. Today hundreds of mourners and visitors in Phuket, Thailand marked the fourth anniversary. STORY: The governor of Phuket presided over the ceremony in Patong Beach. Survivors and victims relatives gathered at a monument at Loma Park which pays tribute to lives lost from the natural disaster. The mourners observe a minute of silence and offer alms in tribute to the souls of the victims. Many survivors returned to Phuket to remember the day and give thanks for their blessings. About half of the over 5000 deaths in Thailand were foreigners. They were residing or vacationing at the famous resorts of Patong Beach and other coastal provinces in the south. [Stephen Sumpion, British Survivor]: "We feel very sad, very confused. We didn't know what was happening at first. But then, as the day progressed, we found out there have been a big wave. We went up to the mountain and stayed up there most of the day. But then the next day we came back there was total devastation. But the Thai people got it all together and within a week New Year's went ahead. And I came back the next year to buy a house and everything was put back together. Daytona Bike Week and Florida Vacation Attractions

After a list of objectives must see while in Florida for Bike Week, will appeal to the conservative bikers. The three-hour journey, travel through the forest and the goal is worth it.

2nd Recommendation: Just north of Daytona on U.S. 1 St Augustine. An approximately 50 miles scenic ride that parallels the Atlantic. The oldest European town in our nation host a tourist dream. Park your bike and walk through the old town with cobblestone streets, picturesque cafes, bars, shops and unique. Visit the 16th CenturyCastillo de San Marcos. It tells the story of how Spain defended its rule in Florida with live re-enactments of battles fought.

3rd Recommendation: South on U.S. 1, Cape Canaveral. The home of the Kennedy Space Center. Visit the International Space Station Center, take the Cape Canaveral: Then & Now Tour, and Guided Tour - Explore Kennedy Space Center today and tomorrow.

The final recommendation is saved for last - Key West Florida.

Today (last Friday) at our school, Rawai Progressive International School or RPIS, we are celebrating the United Nations International Day of Peace. The purpose of this global holiday is to raise awareness of problems such as war, poverty, disease, animal cruelty and to promote world peace. As part of our peace celebration, we made peace flags and giant dove puppets from reused materials to fly in our parade. The dove has been a symbol for peace and love for centuries. Last Sunday, peace doves were being flown all over the world. In fact, there are many problems big and small. The solution starts with you. Here at RPIS, we are trying to make positive changes in three areas. These are the environment, animals, and the local community.
