item--9--- A famous US DJ and remix music artist David Morales performed a free set at sunset on Patong Beach. The award winning producer and Disc Jockey artist famous for his 1998 hit single "Needin' U", brought some of his own blend of upbeat house music to the middle of the beach near Soi Bangla in famous Patong of Phuket last Friday 13 November. Just as the sun set behind the paradise hills across the bay dotted with superyachts, parasails and jetskis, he started to perform a free set for fans and tourists seated on relaxed traditional Thai mats and cushions. David Morales was born in New York of Puerto Rican descent, enjoying black music that surrounded him in his home neighborhood of Brooklyn, including artists like James Brown, the Ojays and Gladys Knight & the Pips. Famous for his marathon 16-hour sets, his fans, young and old, and even a couple of curious dogs, plus Andaman News enjoyed this free short set before he headed indoors later for a performance at Seduction Disco on Soi Bangla. item-10---- QSI international school of Phuket held its 8th annual fun runs around Bang Wad Dam. The non-profit school, QSI International School of Phuket, hosted its public fun runs last Saturday 14 November, starting with a 6.5 kilometre run counterclockwise around the dam lake, under the shady green trees lining the narrow curvy road.
